Depending if you’re into fitness or not you may or may not be familiar with the Insanity Workout calendar produced by Beachbody that has become popular in recent years. Those who are physically healthy and are keen on losing weight and getting fit by using extreme workout, have probably tried an Insanity Workout schedule before.

This type of workout program guided by fitness trainer Shaun T, works the entire body and does so without any equipment giving you the best before and after results. The fitness calendar app or the printable you are currently using, may or may not fit your need. Most Insanity Workouts are performed 20 to 60 minutes at a time, 6 days a week for 60 days. There is also Insanity Max 30 workout that lasts 4 weeks.

In order to keep track of your routines, a calendar app that has great overview is needed. Depending on what type of program you sign up for, you’ll get a calendar that details these workouts. An Insanity calendar should to have your normal Insanity Workout schedule and the pre workout mapped out.

There are free desktop calendar apps available for both PC and Mac users that have great features and can work great for Insanity Workout routines. With these apps you can add all the calendars in one place making it easier for you to can keep track of your Insanity exercises, meetings or other family related events.

Google Calendar For Insanity Workouts

With Google Calendar you can easily have multiple calendars so creating or adding an Insanity Workout calendar is pretty simple. Before doing any of the steps below, go to calendar.google.com.

  • After opening the Google Calendar web app, on the left bottom side next to “Other calendars”, click on the + > Create new calendar
  • Name your calendar “Insanity Calendar”, add a small description.
  • Click “Create calendar” button.
  • Under “My calendars” section you will see your newly created calendar. To see the events created for that calendar the checkbox has to checked.
  • You can start adding your Insanity Workout schedule by clicking on the calendar interface.

If you already have your calendar set up and want to sync it with your Google Calendar, you can do so by going to “Other calendars” section, click on the + > From URL or + > Import and you can add an iCaledar “.ics” file or a “.csv” (comma separated values) file.

You can always just click “Settings” (it’s got a gear ⚙ icon) then “Settings”, go to Import & Export > Import then select and add the calendar file you want.

After you’ve created or imported your Insanity calendar you can always choose to color code each exercise individually for maximum workout productivity.

Using Outlook For Insanity Calendar

Creating or adding an existing Insanity calendar to your Outlook is like any other calendar that has multiple diverse events for a longer period of time. To add or create a calendar in Outlook is pretty straightforward.

  • Go to outlook.com or open the Outlook app.
  • On the bottom left select the Calendar icon > Add calendar > Create new calendar.
  • Give your calendar a name, in this case Insanity, and customize it by choosing a color or charm.
  • If you like you can add the calendar to an existing group.
  • Select Save
  • Lastly, start adding your Insanity Workout routines in your newly calendar.

In Outlook, to import or subscribe an existing calendar that contains the Insanity routines, click on the Calendar icon to go to the Calendar.

  • In the left navigation panel click on “Import calendar”.
  • Here you have two options: “From file” or “From web”
    • “From file” let’s you browse files(.ics, .csv) you want to import. Under “Import to” you can choose which calendar the file will be imported to.
    • “From web” in the “Link to the calendar” type in the URL for the calendar you want to subscribe. You can give the newly imported calendar a new name.

If your partner also likes to work out you might want a calendar app for couples. Luckily with the apps mentioned above, both of you can share your calendar or your workout progress with your friends, family or others that like to use the Insanity Workout routines.
